European regulators need expanded enforcement powers to freeze suspicious assets and remove scam websites under the Markets in Crypto-Assets regulation, the European Securities and Markets Authority said on Wednesday afternoon. The watchdog's proposals aim to close loopholes that currently allow illicit funds to disappear before authorities can act. The initiative comes as officials review the implementation of MiCA amid rising concerns over patchy enforcement across the bloc.
