EU auditors warn poor data sharing weakens cyber defences
EU auditors report that poor data sharing among member states undermines bloc cybersecurity defences. Despite increased funding, national security laws hinder cross-border incident reporting.
European cyber defences are being undermined by member states failing to share incident data, the European Court of Auditors said on Monday afternoon. The 27-nation bloc is allocating €1.4 billion ($1.61 billion) to its current budget for cybersecurity. Poor information sharing remains the primary vulnerability across the system, auditors warned.
