The European Union and the United States are reportedly finalizing a strategic agreement to coordinate the production and security of critical minerals. This move is aimed at reducing global reliance on supply chains currently dominated by China. The potential deal, which stems from a non-binding memorandum of understanding, is expected to include incentives such as minimum price guarantees to favor suppliers outside of the Chinese market.
