Embraer expects India military transport tender soon

EMBRAER SA expects India to issue a request for proposal for 60 to 80 military transport aircraft in the coming months. The C-390 Millennium is a key contender for the contract, which aims to update the Indian Air Force transport capabilities. EMBRAER SA views the Indian market as a strategic priority for its global sales expansion.

CEO Francisco Gomes Neto told Reuters on Saturday that the request for proposal (RFP) is expected to arrive soon. EMBRAER SA has already partnered with MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA LTD on the C-390 project to support its bid.
