Dr Reddys Beats Profit Views
Indian drugmaker Dr Reddys Laboratories reported a better-than-expected quarterly profit as strong domestic demand helped cushion a slowdown in the United States market.
Dr Reddy's Laboratories reported a net profit of 9.25 billion rupees ($97.43 million) for the quarter ended September 30, beating analyst estimates of 7.49 billion rupees.
The result highlights how strong domestic sales in India helped offset ongoing headwinds in the company's key U.S. market during the period. Profits fell from 13.47 billion rupees reported in the same period a year earlier, per LSEG data.
