Democrats sweep Dallas County supervisor races

Democrats won four of five seats in Dallas County following an expansion of the board due to rapid population growth. The newly elected supervisors will begin their terms in January 2027 to manage expanding county services.

Julia Helm ran uncontested in her bid for the Dallas County Board of Supervisors.

Democrats secured a five-seat sweep of Dallas County supervisor positions, expanding the board from three seats to five following rapid population growth across the region. The expansion follows an 18% population increase over five years, lifting total residents to 118,457 in the fastest-growing county in the United States Midwest. The new supervisors will take office in January 2027 to manage surging demand for core local services.
