Global sales of electric trucks and buses surged 86% year-on-year to cross 500,000 units in 2025, per data from the International Council on Clean Transportation released Thursday morning. That expansion was powered almost entirely by China, which captured nearly 90% of the worldwide market. The data highlights a widening divergence between Asian production volumes and sluggish adoption rates across Western markets.
