CATL Beats First Quarter Forecasts with Strong Growth
CATL reported a 48.5 percent rise in first quarter profit to 20.7 billion yuan on Wednesday. It beat forecasts and increased its global share to 42.1 percent.
The world's largest battery manufacturer, CONTEMPORARY AMPEREX TECHN-A, delivered first-quarter earnings that outpaced analyst projections, further cementing its lead in the global energy transition sector. Despite broader economic headwinds in China, the company's financial health remains robust as it navigates shifting demand in the electric vehicle (EV) market.
According to official stock exchange filings, the firm's net profit climbed 48.5% year-on-year to 20.7 billion yuan ($3.03 billion), easily beating the 20.9% growth anticipated by analysts. Revenue also saw a significant jump, rising 52.5% to 129.1 billion yuan, compared to a 36.6% increase in the preceding quarter.
