Canada and Mexico seek to maintain trilateral trade pact during upcoming USMCA review

Canadian Minister Dominic LeBlanc confirmed today that Mexico remains committed to a three-way trade deal. Both nations aim to strengthen the existing pact.

Canada CACA’s minister responsible for Canada–United States USUS trade, Dominic LeBlanc, stated on Wednesday that Mexico MXMX is keen to maintain a trilateral trade agreement as the CUSMA/USMCA undergoes its scheduled review this year. The announcement follows expressions of intent from the Mexican Economy Ministry to work closely with the Government of Canada to ensure the review results in a strengthened and ongoing three-country arrangement.
