Brazil central bank monetary policy director Nilton David said on Wednesday that predictable interest rate moves are the best response to current economic uncertainty. Speaking at an event hosted by J. Safra, David noted that moderation in cyclical inflation indicators shows the bank's strategy is working. The central bank lowered rates by 25 basis points for a fifth consecutive meeting, bringing the benchmark rate to 13.75%.
