Boeing expects commercial plane unit to reach break even
Boeing expects its commercial airplane unit to reach break even in 2026. The division reported losses of $632 million in 2025 and $2.1 billion in 2024.
The Boeing Company is projecting a stabilization of its financial performance within its commercial aircraft segment for the current fiscal year. Speaking at the Bank of America Global Industrials Conference on Tuesday, Chief Financial Officer Jay Malave indicated that the division is anticipating flat or potentially positive margins for 2026. This outlook follows a period of significant financial challenges for the aerospace giant's commercial wing.

The division reported a loss of $632 million in 2025, which followed an even steeper deficit of $2.1 billion in 2024. The move toward break-even or profitable margins represents a critical pivot for the company, which is headquartered in the United States, as it navigates ongoing industry pressures.
