BERENTZEN-GRUPPE AG shares jumped 22% to a 14-month high during Thursday morning trading after the Germany schnapps producer confirmed buyout talks with United States spirits giant Sazerac. The surge values the company at €35 million based on Wednesday's closing price. The potential deal follows Sazerac's aggressive expansion drive, including an unsolicited $15 billion bid for BROWN-FORMAN CORP-CLASS A earlier this year.
