Shin Hyun-song, the nominee for the governorship of the Bank of Korea, stated on Tuesday that the central bank must maintain a flexible monetary policy to navigate the increasing risks stemming from the conflict in Iran. During a meeting with reporters, Shin identified the crisis in the Middle East as the preeminent threat currently facing the economy of South Korea.
