Wesfarmers Fertiliser Unit Sees Delays From Iran War
CSBP warns of fertiliser delays as the Iran war disrupts Middle East shipping. The firm is assessing inventory levels ahead of the cereal planting season.
The chemical and fertilizer division of the Australian conglomerate WESFARMERS LTD has warned of potential delays in the delivery of critical agricultural feedstock due to the conflict in Iran. CSBP, the Perth-based unit operating in Australia, is currently assessing its inventory and seeking alternative supply options as Middle Eastern tensions disrupt global trade routes.
The escalating regional conflict has led to the shutdown of several fertilizer plants and created significant volatility in shipping through the Persian Gulf. These disruptions threaten to curb the supply of ammonium phosphate cropping compounds and urea just as farmers prepare for the primary cereal planting season.
