Ares Private Credit Fund Redemption Requests Ease
Withdrawal requests at the Ares Strategic Income Fund declined to 13.1% in the third quarter as redemption pressures ease across the private credit sector. The fund limited withdrawals to 5% of shares while managers work through backlogs.
Investors sought to redeem 13.1% of shares in the flagship private credit vehicle managed by Ares Management Corp - A during the third-quarter tender offer, down from 14.4% in the previous quarter, a regulatory filing showed on Thursday afternoon.
The slight dip in redemption requests at the $22.7 billion Ares Strategic Income Fund reflects a broader cooldown across the non-traded private credit sector. Wealthy individuals had previously pulled capital from such funds amid mounting concerns over lending standards and potential AI disruption to heavily indebted software borrowers.
