Analysts have revised their economic growth projections for Russia downward for 2026, according to a recent Reuters poll. The survey of 16 analysts indicates an expected growth rate of 0.8%, a reduction from the 1% forecast issued just one month prior. This adjustment mirrors recent communications from the government, which has also signaled that its current official growth target of 1.3% may be overly optimistic.
Economy Minister Maxim Reshetnikov addressed the potential for a formal revision during remarks made last week, noting that the first half of the year has proven difficult.
