Doncasters files for US IPO after 26 percent revenue jump
The UK-founded aerospace manufacturer reported first-quarter revenue of 237 million dollars as it joins a wave of defense-linked firms seeking public listings. Doncasters plans to list on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol DPC following a successful multi-year business turnaround.
Doncasters filed for a United States IPO on May 26 after reporting a 26% revenue increase during the first quarter. The aerospace components manufacturer rose to $237 million in revenue through March 29, narrowing its net loss to $47 million. This listing follows a surge in defense-sector offerings fueled by heightened geopolitical conflict and expanding military budgets.
### Defense Sector Capitalizes on Geopolitical Tensions The filing coincides with a broader trend of defense-linked firms entering public markets to leverage demand linked to the war between Israel and Iran. Applied Aerospace & Defense also launched its IPO roadshow on Tuesday morning. Renaissance Capital senior strategist Matt Kennedy said investors view defense stocks as a hedge against AI-related market volatility.
