Synopsys cuts manufacturing software for AI design focus

Synopsys is discontinuing its suite of manufacturing process control software to reallocate resources toward higher-margin AI design technologies. Major chipmakers including Samsung and SK Hynix have been notified of the move as the company shifts focus following its acquisition of Ansys.
