Zambia is negotiating a critical minerals agreement with the United States after separating the framework from a $1.5B health funding pact, foreign minister Mulambo Haimbe said during an afternoon signing ceremony. The separation removes a linkage that previously stalled talks over American access to domestic resource reserves. Zambia remains the second-largest producer of Copper in Sub-Saharan Africa.
