The World Bank has reported that the economy of Nigeria remains resilient and is expected to see growth through the first half of 2026. While the conflict involving Iran has exerted upward pressure on inflation, overall business activity in the West African nation has continued to expand. World Bank Nigeria lead economist Fiseha Haile stated during a presentation in Abuja that the geopolitical friction involving the United States and Israel has primarily impacted commodity prices, including Brent Crude Oil, while leaving domestic output largely unaffected.
"Overall business activity has been expanding over the past few months, suggesting the impact on growth has been relatively contained."
