Woodside Energy Names Liz Westcott as New Permanent CEO
Woodside Energy has named Liz Westcott as its new chief executive officer. She had been serving as interim CEO after joining the company in June 2023.
WOODSIDE ENERGY GROUP LTD has officially appointed Liz Westcott as its new chief executive officer and managing director. The announcement, made on Wednesday, confirms Westcott's permanent transition into the leadership role after serving as the interim CEO since December of last year. Westcott stepped into the interim position following the departure of Meg O'Neill, who left the energy giant to become the chief executive of BP p.l.c.. Since joining Woodside in June 2023, Westcott has played a pivotal role in the company's operations, most recently serving as the executive vice president and chief operating officer for Australia. Before her tenure at Woodside, Westcott built an extensive international career at ExxonMobil. Her professional background includes significant leadership positions held in the United Kingdom and Italy, as well as domestic roles within the Australian energy sector.
