Wendys names Robert Wright as new chief executive officer

The fast-food chain appointed industry veteran Robert Wright to the top role effective May 21. Wright succeeds interim head Kenneth Cook who will return to his position as CFO following the departure of previous CEO Kirk Tanner to Hershey.
