WBD CEO David Zaslav to receive 887 million dollar payout
David Zaslav could receive 887 million dollars from the sale of Warner Bros Discovery to Paramount. The package includes severance and equity awards.
David Zaslav, the chief executive of Warner Bros. Discovery, is positioned to receive a compensation package totaling as much as $887 million upon the completion of the company's sale to Paramount Skydance Corporation Class B Common Stock. The details of the payout were disclosed in a regulatory filing on Monday, following the announcement of a $110 billion merger agreement reached last month. The deal concluded a high-stakes period of negotiations for the owner of HBO Max, which saw Netflix, Inc. eventually withdraw from the bidding process. The transaction is currently on track to close during the third quarter of 2026.
