Major stock market indices in the United States opened higher on Wednesday as investors processed the latest geopolitical news from the Middle East and a series of corporate earnings reports. Market participants are also looking ahead to comments from Federal Reserve officials later in the day. In early trading, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 13.2 points, or 0.03%. The S&P 500 gained 10.8 points, or 0.15%, while the Nasdaq Composite, which is managed by NASDAQ INC, climbed 49.0 points, or 0.21%.
