Vietnam Approves $3B More for China Rail
Vietnam approved changes to a rail link connecting to China that require an additional three billion dollars in spending. The overall cost has risen to eleven billion dollars. Construction is aimed for completion by the end of 2030.
Vietnam approved $3B in additional spending on Monday afternoon for a rail link to China, raising the total project cost to $11.1B. The upgraded rail network expands the planned route to 426 km, connecting northern border provinces directly to major commercial ports. Investors gain a critical logistics corridor that connects northern industrial hubs directly to cross-border trade routes by the end of 2030.
