VIETJET AVIATION JSC plans to pay $250 million in the coming days to settle a lease dispute, two people familiar with the matter said. The move follows British court orders that froze the low-cost carrier's assets outside Vietnam over unpaid rent. The settlement unlocks delayed aircraft deliveries for the carrier, which has hundreds of jets on order.
