Ventura County Jobless Rate Increases to 4.4 Percent

The unemployment rate in Ventura County rose to 4.4 percent in June, up from 3.9 percent in May but lower than the 4.8 percent recorded a year ago. While the local rate remains below California's 5.2 percent, job growth in the county has been nearly flat over the past year.
