US Supreme Court blocks Missouri congressional map
The U.S. Supreme Court blocked Missouri from using a redrawn congressional map favoring Republicans in November. The justices granted an emergency request to suspend a federal judge ruling.

The United States Supreme Court blocked a Republican-drawn congressional map in Missouri on Thursday, halting a plan that favored Republican candidates ahead of the November midterm elections. The emergency ruling deals a setback to President Donald Trump's efforts to expand the party's slim majority in the House of Representatives. Republicans currently hold a 219-214 majority in the chamber.
