The United States Treasury issued fresh sanctions on Wednesday against companies and individuals based in India and Turkey for supporting Iran's petroleum and aviation sectors. The action targets illicit networks providing false maritime flags to oil tankers supporting the Iran military and its proxies. The move tightens economic pressure following the United States blockade of Iranian ports reimposed on July 14 after negotiations with Iran broke down.
