US employers to cut GLP-1 weight loss drug coverage

Surveys from Business Group on Health and Mercer indicate that up to 10% of large employers may drop coverage for obesity medications like Wegovy and Zepbound in 2027. While newer pill versions have lowered individual costs, the growing number of patients is driving overall spending higher.
