The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals cleared United States authorities in Texas to enforce a law allowing state-level arrests and deportations of migrants. The 2-1 panel decision on Friday stayed a May 14 injunction that had previously blocked the measure known as SB 4. The ruling permits enforcement of legislation that had faced federal legal challenges over state authority in immigration matters.
