UN Rights Chief Condemns Nicaragua Election Ban

UN High Commissioner Volker Turk warned that Daniel Ortega's move to end elections further suppresses dissent and concentrates power. He urged the release of 46 political detainees as civic space in the country continues to deteriorate.
