Women Hold Under 30 Percent of Management Roles

A new global survey by the UN labour body reveals that women occupy just 30.5 percent of management positions worldwide. The ILO notes this share has grown slowly over three decades despite rising educational attainment among women.

The share of management positions held by women rose to 30.5% from 24% over the past three decades. The persistent imbalance underscores structural barriers in the global labour market that continue to limit career progression.
