Ukraine approves record 97.2 billion dollar defense budget

Ukrainian lawmakers approved a 34.7 billion dollar increase in defense spending following the release of a 90 billion euro European Union loan. The total military budget will reach a record 4.37 trillion hryvnias this year as the country expands its security operations.
