UK NEET Youth Population Drops Under 1 Million
The number of British young people not in employment or education fell below 1 million in the second quarter. Official figures show 981000 individuals aged 16 to 24 were classified as NEET between April and June.

The number of young people not in employment, education or training in the United Kingdom fell to 981,000 in the second quarter, dropping below the 1 million threshold. Official figures released Thursday showed the NEET population decreased from 1.011 million in the preceding period. The proportion of 16-24 year-olds outside the job market or education moved down to 13.0% from 13.5%.
