UK extends fuel duty cut to end of 2026 to ease costs

Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced that the five pence per litre fuel duty cut will remain in place through December to mitigate rising oil prices caused by the Iran conflict. The government is also introducing a road tax holiday for hauliers and reducing duty on red diesel to its lowest rate in over twenty years.
