Ros L'Esperance to leave UBS investment bank this month
Ros L'Esperance is leaving her role as executive vice chair of UBS's Investment Bank this month. She joined in 2014 after senior roles at Lehman and Barclays.
Ros L’Esperance, a prominent figure within the investment banking division of UBS Group AG, is set to depart from the firm at the end of March. According to an internal memo authored by Marco Valla, the co-president of the investment bank and head of global banking, L’Esperance is leaving to explore new opportunities outside the organization.
Valla, who took over the top banking role from L’Esperance in 2023, noted her significant contributions to the firm's growth. When Valla arrived at the bank from Barclays PLC, L’Esperance transitioned from her position as co-head of global banking to focus on strategic initiatives. In this capacity, she spearheaded the creation of a specialized advisory group aimed at supporting the firm's most senior client-facing bankers.
