Two Sigma Co-CEO Scott Hoffman Resigns Amid Management Rift
Scott Hoffman has resigned as Two Sigma co-CEO citing governance issues. Seth Platt will succeed him at the firm which manages over $70 billion in assets.
Scott Hoffman has resigned as co-CEO of Two Sigma Investments, the latest sign of management instability at the United States hedge fund. The firm has faced a series of internal rifts and governance disputes that have complicated its leadership structure over the past several years.
Hoffman’s resignation, detailed in a filing on March 31, was attributed to ongoing governance challenges following the return of co-founder John Overdeck to the firm's management committee. To fill the vacancy, co-founder David Siegel appointed Seth Platt as executive manager last month. Platt brings nearly three decades of experience in investment management to the role.
