Canada's main stock index rose 227.33 points to a six-day high of 36,171.49 on Tuesday afternoon, lifted by strong tech earnings and metal gains. The 0.6% advance mirrored broader gains across North American equities driven by artificial intelligence optimism. Investor focus now shifts to upcoming central bank decisions in both Ottawa and Washington.
