TSMC Seen Posting Record Profit on AI Boom
TSMC is expected to report a sixth consecutive quarter of record earnings driven by surging demand for AI chips. Analysts point to strong infrastructure spending and advanced packaging technology. The company will also address potential expansion plans.

TAIWAN SEMICONDUCTOR MANUFAC is expected to report a 65% surge in third-quarter net profit to T$746.3 billion ($23.4 billion) on Thursday, marking its sixth consecutive quarter of record earnings. Strong infrastructure spending in the tech sector continues to drive unprecedented demand for advanced artificial intelligence chipmaking capacity and packaging technology in Taiwan. That growth has propelled the company's market capitalization to approximately $2.1 trillion, nearly double that of South Korean rival SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CO LTD in South Korea.
