Trian and General Catalyst Hike Janus Henderson Offer
Trian and General Catalyst raised their Janus Henderson bid to $52 per share on Tuesday. The offer marks a 25% premium amid a battle with Victory Capital.
Janus Henderson Group plc announced on Tuesday that Trian Fund Management and General Catalyst have raised their acquisition bid to $52 per share. This updated offer represents a 25% premium to the asset manager's unaffected stock price and is $3 per share higher than the previous proposal.
The increased bid comes amid a competitive acquisition process involving Victory Capital Holdings, Inc., which has maintained its interest in the company. Trian, which is currently the largest shareholder in the firm with a 20.7% stake, recently voiced concerns regarding a competing sweetened offer from Victory Capital.
