United States Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent expressed confidence on Tuesday that core inflation remains on a downward path, even as geopolitical tensions persist. Speaking in Washington, Bessent noted that he expects price pressures to ease despite the ongoing war involving Iran, while renewing his advocacy for the Federal Reserve to begin reducing interest rates.
