Toyota plans two billion dollar Texas assembly expansion
Toyota Motor has filed for a two billion dollar expansion at its San Antonio manufacturing complex to build a new vehicle assembly line. The project aims to create two thousand jobs by 2030 as the automaker strengthens its long-term investment in North American production.

TOYOTA MOTOR CORP filed to build a $2 billion vehicle assembly line at its San Antonio complex in the United States. Construction is expected to begin by the end of 2026, with vehicle production targeted to start in 2030, according to a filing with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. The project, dubbed Project Orca, is expected to create 2,000 new jobs between 2028 and 2030.
