Tesla faces sequential drop in first quarter deliveries
Tesla expects lower first quarter deliveries as demand softens and competition grows. Analysts project a sequential decline to around 368,900 vehicles.
TESLA INC is expected to report a sequential decline in vehicle deliveries for the first quarter as the electric-vehicle sector faces a period of cooling demand and heightened global competition. The manufacturer is scheduled to release its delivery data before the market opens this Thursday, providing a clearer picture of its performance in the early months of 2026.
According to data from Visible Alpha, analysts anticipate that the company will report approximately 368,900 vehicle deliveries for the January–March period. This would mark an 11.8% decrease from the December quarter, although it would still represent a 9.6% year-over-year improvement. This growth comes despite challenges faced in the previous year, when sales were reportedly impacted by consumer reactions to political rhetoric. A separate internal compilation of 23 analyst estimates suggests a slightly lower figure of 365,645 units.
