Technip Energies Misses Q4 Profit Target and Plans Buyback
Technip Energies reported a Q4 core profit of 159.9 million euros, missing forecasts. It announced a share buyback and expects record order intake in 2026.
Technip Energies N.V., the energy infrastructure firm headquartered in France, reported a quarterly adjusted core profit that fell short of market expectations. Despite the earnings miss, the company announced an increased dividend payout and a 150 million euro share buyback program. The group's adjusted recurring earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) reached 159.9 million euros for the quarter, below the 167 million euros anticipated by analysts in a company-compiled consensus.
Technip Energies proposed a dividend of 1 euro per share, representing an increase from the 0.85 euro distributed in the previous year. Chief Financial Officer Bruno Vibert noted that the engineering group is currently managing approximately 12 million euros in orders, which adds to a 16 million euro backlog. Looking ahead, Chief Executive Officer Arnaud Pieton expressed confidence in the company's long-term trajectory.
