Stryker Reports Disruptions After Global Cyberattack
Stryker reports disruptions to orders and manufacturing following a cyberattack yesterday. Iranian-linked group Handala claimed responsibility for the breach.
Medical device manufacturer Stryker Corporation reported on Thursday that a significant cyberattack has caused widespread operational disruptions across its global network. The incident, which began on March 11, has compromised the company's ability to process customer orders, manufacture medical products, and manage global shipping logistics.
A hacking group with links to Iran known as Handala has claimed responsibility for the breach. The group stated the cyberattack was a retaliatory measure following military strikes on a school in Minab, located in southern Iran. The group alleged the school was targeted during operations involving the United States and Israel. While reports from Iranian officials indicate significant casualties among students, these figures have not been independently verified.
