Starlink User Growth Doubles Ahead of SpaceX Listing
Starlink app downloads and active users more than doubled year-over-year in the first quarter. This growth supports SpaceX's expected public debut this summer.
Starlink, the satellite internet division of SpaceX, is reporting a significant acceleration in global user growth and mobile application downloads, according to market research firm Apptopia. This surge highlights the unit's critical role in supporting the parent company's expected public market debut this summer. Global downloads of the Starlink app and monthly active users (MAU) more than doubled in the first quarter of 2026 compared to the previous year, marking the fourth consecutive quarter of MAU growth exceeding 100%.
SpaceX, led by Elon Musk, is anticipated to go public later this year, with investor expectations heavily reliant on Starlink as the primary driver of the company's targeted valuation of approximately $1.75 trillion. The business generated an estimated $11.4 billion in revenue last year.
