South Korea Vows Firm Response to Border Breaches

South Korea has pledged a firm response to protect its military border after recent security violations. Seoul demanded that Pyongyang halt fortification work near the inter Korean border as tensions rise.

South Korea will respond firmly to protect its military border with North Korea, national security adviser Wi Sung-lac said on Friday morning. The warning follows a spike in border tensions after a landmine blast inside the DMZ seriously wounded several soldiers last month. Seoul's response aims to deter further security breaches as cross-border rhetoric escalates.
