South Korea exports surged 83.5% in September to a record $120.9 billion, driven by semiconductor shipments that more than tripled on global artificial intelligence spending. The milestone marks the 16th consecutive month of export growth, crushing market expectations for a 62% increase. Total exports for January through September reached $814.5 billion, surpassing last year's full-year record of $709.3 billion and tracking toward the $1 trillion mark.
