KOSPI Tops 7,000 as Samsung Reaches $1 Trillion Market Cap

South Korea's benchmark index rose 6.45% on Wednesday to a record close of 7,384.56 following a global rally in semiconductor stocks. Samsung Electronics became the second Asian firm to exceed a $1 trillion valuation as foreign investors purchased a record 3.1 trillion won of local shares.
